Sesame is one of the oldest oilseed plants and has always had its place in African and Asian kitchens. These hulled seeds have a mild, nutty flavour that gets even richer once toasted in a dry pan.
Sprinkle them over bread, puff-puff, salads or chicken, or use them in your sauces and marinades.
They are rich in unsaturated fats and a source of protein, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and iron.
